To maximize its profitability within the limits set by the shareholders, the refinery chooses the crude and decides on the product slates. Prior to distribution to the home market of Kazakhstan and export markets, especially in the Far East, under the brand names of the shareholders, all products are subject to rigorous quality check.

Additionally, SADESCO PETROLEUM is constantly pursuing integration with Kazakhstani downstream businesses. The refinery is open to new business opportunities, including the selling of intermediate or completed products as feedstock for the petrochemical and allied industries, as well as the acquisition of intermediate process streams from possible suppliers.

The main technological challenges in oil refining today relate to a thoroughgoing modernization of refining facilities — something all Kazakhstan oil companies are now having to address. Under the auspices of a national project, SADESCO PETROLEUM, TOO is putting in place new catalyst production facilities, developing unique innovative technology, and significantly improving safety levels in the production of high-performance, environmentally-friendly gasoline.
